“We hired Andy for our wedding day in January, in Swansea. The conditions on the day were pretty grey and windy but the photos came out atmospheric and beautiful. From a technical point of view he produced brilliant results – from classic shots to moody creative images.

He was excellent at organising people, making the atmosphere positive and engaging with people. All the pictures are really natural and capture each of our family members’ personalities really well. Sometimes photographers can be quite dull, but Andy puts his heart into his work, which relaxes everyone.

Words perhaps don’t do the quality of the work justice – perhaps it is more fitting to say my wife was in tears when she saw the photos.

If you want your wife to cry too, hire Andy.”

Just finished a shoot for Payton Jewell Caines Estate Agents. We managed to avoid the rain and got some really nice shots to be used for a relaunch of their rental department. Big thanks to all in the photo and for Lisa at Annalisa Jenkins for arranging the shoot.

Lease extension

I opened my studio back in September last year and I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by. I signed an initial 12 month lease to test the water and see how Pencoed would react to having a photographic studio in its town centre. The studio has been a huge success and even though I am only just over half way through my current lease I have just signed an extension. Pencoed is going to have to put up with me for at least another 3 and half years.

Product photography

Just had a very successful morning photographing products for Oaktree Stationary. A home run wedding stationary business that started as a hobby and has evolved into a career (that sounds familiar!).

I was given a very specific brief as to how the images should look and using my knowledge of lighting was a able to successfully deliver the right images. Shouldn’t be too long before their website is up and running and you will be able to see them all for yourself.

windy, but worth it

A little a bit windy, a little bit wet and a little bit cold. Some of the last things that a bride wants to see or feel on her wedding day. Well last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Harrison wedding in Porthcawl. The day started very wet, but by lunch time we were left with some beautiful sky’s as the rain cleared away. Here is just a sample of the images that I managed to capture.

Atmospheric Sky

An image from Liz & Arek’s wedding in the Mumbles, Swansea Bay in mid January 2012. It was a little blustery on the day, but we ventured out to the beach and got some really atmospheric images. The sky was constantly changing and at one point we even saw the sun!
